Radeon if you like Multiple Screens, there are some other keen elements but only for really Hardcore Gamers or Running Multiple Progroams at once.
Nvidia if you like 3D, Nvidia also has the Physix engine but most Radeon can run the Nvidia Physix engine aswell but Nvidia runs it smoother.

had 1 Radeon in the past. Died on me (but this was aaaaaaaages ago..... When it was still AGP8x lol.
All the rest were Nvidia's and lasted me till i replaced them with a better model!
But like Bazorki said , both got good things.

I prefer Nvidia because their drivers seem better, and of course they have PhysX.

But Radeon are good too,My 6950 was a great card and i even still have a AGP 9600 Pro 256mb that still works fine today. :D

I've owned a Radeon 4770 for 4 years and I can say it has never let me down. I've just got a new graphic card less than 15 days ago and after a long thought I've decided for the Radeon 7950 (it was a close call between this one and the 660 GTX but I've decided for the 7950 because of the never settle promo (basicly you get 4 games with the purchase, Bioshock Infinite, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, Crysis 3 and Tomb Raider).

All new generation cards are good, i would personally pick up a nvidia card.

Bazorki is correct, performance ATI cards seem to handle higher resolutions and multiple screens better than the nvidia equivalent.

    Currently own a Gigabyte-670OC-Windforce3-4GB card.

Just pick whatever seems the best value for you!

Hey guys i would say a great starting Card is Any Radeon Card due to to it's good performance, but once you start gaming and want the quality graphics move into the GTX 6 Series of Cards then Furthermore with money GTX 780, Gtx Titan etc.

80% of game developers use Nvidia graphics cards and drivers when making their games, so you will have less problems if you pick Nvidia.
But Radeon are cheaper and "some" of their cards are great cost effective and deliver top notch bang for buck, but you might need to wait for a hot-fix with the newest games released.

    In my personal experience anyway..

I cant fault either card. They both have their pros and cons.

I had a MSI 7870 which was brilliant.

Im now running a GTX580 which outperforms it slightly.
